 Policy:

Deposits/Downpayments on Meeting Facilities

   

Policy Statement:

The Treasurer of the Association shall, at the request of a meeting chairperson, draw a check on Association funds to cover the deposit on a future meeting facility.  However, if the required sum is greater than $500,additional prior, verbal authorization must be received from the President in consultation with one Officer of the Executive Board.  The entire Board shall be notified of any such commitments at their next meeting.
 

Rationale:

The policy statement provides for:
  • scrutiny of expenditures from the Association’s Treasury
  • placement of responsibility and authority on meeting chairpersons
