In order to secure quality speakers, a fee may be offered to a speaker.  When this fee exceeds $250.00 , additional prior, verbal authorization must be received from the President of the Association in consultation with one Officer of the Executive Board.  The entire Board shall be notified of any such commitments at their next meeting.

As a courtesy, lunch (dinner) will be offered to the speaker.  Also, upon request, roundtrip travel expenses will be paid at the prevailing rate.

Travel expenses and/or requests for overnight lodging require authorization from the President of the Association in consultation with one Officer of the Executive Board.  Once again, the entire Board shall be notified of any such commitments at their next meeting.
 

This policy statement provides for:

• a professional relationship between speaker and the Association
• scrutiny of expenditures of the Association’s Treasury
