Upon the notification of the death of the parent, spouse, sibling, or child of a current MdHIMA Executive Board Member, Committee Chairperson, or Past President, the President or designee may authorize that a memorial acknowledgment be sent to the person or the person’s family.

The type of acknowledgment to be made and the amount will be determined by the President or designee.

Upon the notification of the death of a MdHIMA member, a donation will be made to the Foundation of Record Education (FORE) at AHIMA.

Situations not covered by this policy will be acted upon by vote of the Executive Board.
