Better Together… Connecting Health & Human Information
MdHIMA is excited to announce the return of the annual in-person meeting. This year it will be held at the Maritime Conference Center in Linthicum Heights, MD. We are better together… and connecting health & human information.
The meeting will begin on April 27th with an AHIMA update from Maryland’s own Dr. Mona Calhoun, AHIMA’s Board of Director Chair-Elect. National speaker Jerry Bridge will be the keynote motivational speaker on April 28. He will deliver the talk, “If healthcare is about well-being, then why am I so stressed out?” The session will look at if the purpose of healthcare is to alleviate suffering and improve health and well-being; shouldn’t that include the entire healthcare workforce? Yes, of course! Yet countless staff at every level, clinical and administrative, often feel overwhelmed, overworked, and/or overtired. Continually busy or multitasking, trying to keep up with increasing demands or maintain impossible schedules, workers often feel fragmented, exhausted, and burned out!
- ”We had such amazing feedback from your presentation with us earlier this year and we’d like to see if you would consider returning for another convention!” Polly Sellers VHIMA
- “I wanted to reach out to thank you for everything that you did for us at the NYHIMA Conference! You were wonderful, and we truly appreciated stepping in when we needed someone to speak. Looking forward to working with you again next year! — Angela Kelly, New York Health Information Management Association
- “Jerry provided an excellent keynote presentation to the North Carolina Health Association Annual meeting. With an in-depth understanding of the healthcare profession, Jerry addressed key issues and challenges…I HIGHLY recommend Jerry for your association membership!” — Lee Ford, Past President of NCHIMA
Throughout the two days, there will be presentations from industry leaders and the return of the annual business meeting featuring announcements on scholarships & award recipients and election results. The event will also showcase the silent auction, HI student research, and Vendors with what is new in the industry, marketing, and recruiting. The President’s reception theme is a casino night.
On behalf of the MdHIMA Board, the annual meeting committee welcomes you back and looks forward to seeing everyone at the meeting. Don’t delay sign up today!
Registration will close at 11:59 PM ET on April 23, 2023.
